Shipyard Sports & Events Center is looking for a dynamic and highly motivated individual that is passionate about promoting our sports activities within the local communities for our Assistant Facility Manager position. Ideally, this individual will be able to help with coverage in the evening and on weekends. The Assistant Facility Manager will greet and assist all members, guests, and program participants. The associate will interact with the members and uphold the member experience standards. This position will be responsible for providing a high level of customer service to Shipyard’s members, program participants, and guests.

Responsibilities:

Assist customers with program registrations, sales, and inquiries.
Manage payments, team registrations, and field rental bookings.
Schedule appointments for new memberships and follow-ups.
Monitor front desk, answer calls, greet customers, and provide facility information.
Process membership applications, fees, and update member records.
Collect payments for facility services and explain facility policies to new members.
Set up and tear down gym equipment as needed.
Provide courteous guest service, knowledge of complex amenities, events, and membership guidelines.
Maintain confidentiality and resolve guest concerns or direct to appropriate manager.
Marketing and Promotion: Collaborate with the management and marketing team to develop and promote events and attract new players and groups to the facility.

Requirements:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport quickly.
Experience in customer service preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Gmail.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate and oversee all aspects of tournament and event operations.
Ensure games stay on schedule and communicate any schedule updates.
Open and close the facility for events.
Prepare the facility before events, including court/field setup, signage, and equipment.
Oversee post-event cleanup and facility reset.
Supervise concession stand staff and event volunteers.
Serve as the primary contact for coaches, officials, vendors, and tournament directors.
Address customer questions and resolve issues quickly and professionally.
Monitor facility cleanliness, safety, and overall presentation throughout the event.
Report any facility or equipment concerns to management.
Help create a welcoming, organized, and enjoyable experience for all guests.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in event management, sports facilities, recreation, hospitality, or customer service is preferred.

Position Summary:

Little Champs is a child development program focused on soccer, baseball, volleyball, and basketball for children ages 18 months–9 years. Shipyard Sports Complex is seeking energetic, creative coaches to lead small-group classes using an age-appropriate curriculum. Training is provided and staff receive discounts on Shipyard programs.

You love working with young children, are highly energetic, patient, and able to lead structured games and activities. Strong communication, reliability, organization, and dependable transportation are required. Experience with children under age 4 is strongly recommended. While specific sport experience is preferred, it is not required. Coaches must commit to the full session schedule for the classes they accept.

Position Summary:

Shipyard Sports Complex is hiring Operations Team Members to help maintain a clean, safe, and functional environment for all events and activities. Working under the direction of the Operations Director, you will support daily facility operations, field preparation, and setup/teardown for indoor and outdoor sports and events.

Learn and maintain familiarity with daily sports programming and events; collaborate with administrative staff and sports directors; perform tasks such as field preparation, grounds maintenance, snow removal, and general facility setup and teardown; complete work orders as assigned; and follow all facility policies and procedures.

Requirements:

Dependable, positive, and able to perform physical tasks. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Resourceful, proactive, and able to organize, prioritize, and work well under pressure with limited supervision. Must be available afternoons, evenings, and weekends.

Sub Shack at Shipyard Sports & Event Center is looking for energetic and dependable Line Cooks to join our team during our busy sports tournament and event season. This position plays an important role in delivering fast, quality food to athletes, families, and guests visiting Shipyard.

Our ideal candidate is someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment, takes pride in preparing great food, and works well as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

Prepare menu items including subs, burgers, chicken tenders, fries, salads, and other Sub Shack favorites
Follow recipes, portion standards, and food safety guidelines
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area
Assist with food prep, stocking, and kitchen organization
Ensure food is prepared quickly and accurately during busy tournament times

Fast-paced tournament, league, and special event environment
Average attendance: 500–1,000 visitors per day during tournament weekends.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
Deliver outstanding customer service in a high-energy environment.
Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar.
Verify IDs and follow all Ohio liquor laws and responsible alcohol service guidelines.
